I have been waiting more than a year for a hawk to show up close enough for me to get a good photo.
Yesterday this one stopped by on the fence in the backyard when the sprinkler was on for a free shower. I was able to get outside the back porch and into the yard for these shots.
Other Hawk Adventures
In April 2022 I got one from a significant distance on the roof of a house on another street. The images are cropped quite a bit.
Then in August, this one came to the fence and I got the image from inside the house. So that’s through a sliding glass door, then a porch screen … and it looks like it. Not terrible, if you don’t look closely.
